In a Senior Project Manager job, you will take the lead in planning, managing, and overseeing the construction and building process necessary to complete different types of construction projects from start to finish. Like many executive project managers or lead project managers, you will be tasked with planning, developing, and adhering to a budget, acquiring required permits and working in tandem with employees, construction, workers and various subcontractors to ensure you meet clients goals while adhering to the planned and agreed-upon budget. Senior Construction Project Manager Roles and Responsibilities Develop comprehensive project plans that identify the resources needed and the budget required to satisfactorily complete a project in a timely manner.Host and lead regularly scheduled project meetings with the project managers and other involved teams, ensuring their processes are moving smoothly and their assigned responsibilities are being adequately handled.Serve as a resource for employees when it comes to feedback, advice, project updates, and how they may affect their roles, responsibilities, and timelines.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors involved with the project to ensure collaboration and that they are meeting their responsibilities as agreed upon for the job.Senior Project Manager Skills and Qualifications Customer service skillsStrong communication skillsLeadership skillsTime-management skillsTechnical skillsProposal-writing and budget-planning skills and experienceProject-management processes knowledge |
